Ford
Status: In Therapy; Awaiting custom mobility devices. Ford needs specialty equipment in order for him to reach adoptable status.
Ford is a 6 month old goldendoodle puppy. He is ALL puppy! He loves to play and wants to be in the center of the action at all times. Typical of both puppies and CH dogs, Ford is very bitey, hence his nickname 'Bitey Ford.'
Our current focus with Ford is establishing a physical therapy routine that includes swim therapy, proprioceptive wraps, and time in his wheelchair to help him gain strength and independence. He currently relies on either a wheelchair or support from one of his humans to stand, potty, and get around.
Ford is looking for a family who will be actively involved in continuing his physical therapy and who will empower him to maximize his abilities. He would thrive in a home with playmates as he loves other dogs!

Due to the unique nature of welcoming a dog with a neurological disability into your family, the Be Like Josh Foundation requires all adopters to travel to the Phoenix area for a minimum of two nights for a meet and greet/adoption trial prior to finalizing the adoption.
Currently, due to travel restrictions and vaccination requirements, we are only able to adopt to homes located in the contiguous United States.
